She Makes Layout

Wednesday, April 8, 2020

I had so much fun making this layout with my older Turn the Page collection and a layered flower punch!
Here is the process video for this page:

I started by punching as many flowers as I could from Paper 02 which is a pretty pastel floral design. Then I flipped all of the flowers right side up and began layering them together - three pieces per flower.
I chose the B-side of Paper 16 which is a light mint floral for the background and began placing the flowers in clusters of like-colored flowers in a wreath design. Once I liked where the flowers were I glued them in place.
I folded the leaves in half for dimension and glued them in the gaps also trying to place them in the same colored group. Then I bent up all of the flower petals for the ultimate texture. I added a photo of Jane coloring at church to the center and popped up the corners with foam squares for dimension.
The title was made with the white foam Mini Thickers from Pick-Me-Up and I placed them directly on the photo in the white space to say "SHE MAKES". Underneath the photo I wrote journaling with a white paint pen.
I grabbed the sequins from Turn the Page and scattered a few little mint leaves around the wreath for another layer of interest and fun. To finish I stuck a pink heart sticker next to the title to echo my love for my daughter :) And I called this layout done!
I hope you are inspired to bust out your punches and create a lovely and dimensional layout filled with floral fun!
