Hello and many happy springtime wishes to you! It's Shimelle and lately all I scrapbook is rainbows. They are helping me smile a lot while we stay indoors and I hope this one might brighten your day too.
Of course I had to go straight to Paige's Rainbow cut file, and I loved the idea of a pastel rainbow to match the pastel pink castle at Disneyland Paris. I cut the rainbow from smooth white cardstock and backed it with seven different patterns from Bloom Street, using the 6x8 Paper Pad plus a few scraps of the individual 12x12 papers to mimic the spectrum but in soft pastel shades. I used the raindrop print to fill the clouds, which was perfect for telling the story of how the sun finally came out on the last morning of a very rainy trip. I attached that with foam squares to raise it off the background: the rainbow stripe b-side of Paper 20.
I love the Layered Butterfly Stickers and added three of them to the rainbow, placing them on their corresponding pink, green, and violet stripe. I added some shimmer to the rainbow with a glitter brush pen, but in the future I would add this before backing the cut file, or even before cutting the cardstock, so there's less chance for the tiniest pieces of the cut file to warp.
For my title, I used the beautiful Floral Foam Thickers to spell 'castle' topped with the tiny letters in the 4-Page Sticker Book and the word 'sunshine' from the Puffy Vinyl Stickers. The journaling box is from the 6x8 Paper Pad.
Starting at the top left of the page, I repeated the pastel rainbow using small embellishments. There are phrases cut from patterned paper, a variety of stickers from the 4-Page Sticker Book, Enamel Dots, and Puffy Vinyl Stickers. Again, everything is in rainbow order! If you'd like to see how all of this came together, this video takes you from start to finish:
Thank you for taking a look at my rainbow page! I'd love to see what rainbows you can make with Paige's collections too!
