Hi there! Maija Männistö here to share a layout made with Bloom Street and two of Paige’s cut files. For the background of the layout I chose the Quilt Heart cut file and used the 12x12 Paper Pad to cut the triangles from four different papers. For the title I wanted to go big so I chose the Family cut file and made it into a shaker!
To add texture and dimension to the Quilt Heart I distressed the edges of each piece before stitching them onto the background with my sewing machine. After sewing I folded the edges to make them really pop. I also added some white acrylic paint sprinkles onto the pieces, making it more visible on the darker triangles.

To make a shaker from the word cut file I first adhered it to an acetate sheet and cut along the edges. Then I added foam tape on to the edges of the cut file before placing the sequins in. I used the flower and leaf shaped sequins from the Mixed Embellishments and added some pink and purple sequins from my stash. Then I adhered another piece of acetate and cut it along the edges of the cut file. Such a fun project to make!

With the title being busy and detailed I kept the embellishing quite minimal. I used the Floral Die Cuts and Cardstock Stickers close to the photo. For a finishing touch I added Enamel Dots, my go-to last addition to any project.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, have a lovely and crafty day!
