Hi there! Maija Männistö here to share a layout made with Bloom Street, fluttering your way with my daughter proudly showing off her new braces! You embrace them girl!
For this layout I made a super fun and cute background with Paige's Butterfly Heart cut file. I decided to take the longer way and individually backed each of the butterflies using Paper 18 and a pink & yellow paper from the 12x12 Paper Pad. For an extra touch and texture I used pink glitter to back some of the butterflies. It really complements the softer tones on the patterned papers!
To make the heart shape pop I went around the shape piercing holes and then chain stitched around it. I again chose a really bright pink for contrast. In all honesty after finishing the stitching I wasn’t so sure about that anymore, but that’s part of the creative process: if in doubt, just work around it and make it work! So to complement the pinks I had already added I wanted to go all in and add pink title too. I also wanted to make the ‘brace’ part really popped so I took the Floral Foam Thickers and worked some glitter magic! I put glue on the letter and added glitter, repeating this here and there to have the glitter really stick. For the other letters of the title I used the E&M from the Puffy Word Stickers and letters in ‘life’ from the Puffy Vinyl Stickers together with the cute butterfly.
For the photo I created a floral background with flowers fussy cut from Paper 12, adding again more softer tones to in turn ease out all the bright pinks. It’s a balance you got to keep! And it wouldn’t be a layout by me without a banner somewhere, this time made with a paper from the 12x12 Paper Pad. To have some balance on the page I also added a tiny floral cluster onto the opposite side of the heart from the photo. A tiny yet meaningful addition!
Thank you so much for stopping by today, have a lovely and crafty day!
