I love creating large repeating hand cut titles when I teach in-person workshops - we get to use a lot of patterned papers and the more patterns we can include on a layout, the better! This page features my Bloom Street collection and Love Love Love cut file.
Here is a process video so you can follow along and create this page:
I started by doing some mixed media on the blue plaid Paper 19: I watered down white acrylic paint and used a toothbrush to splatter it onto the background, centering it in the middle and working out towards the edges. Then I grabbed Pastel Dreams watercolors and splashed a bunch of colors on top using a regular paint brush. I finished with a darker blue watercolor found in the Tropicals set. I put the background aside to dry and continued onto the next step.

I die cut one "love" from the Love Love Love cut file as well as an inner "O" piece and used them as templates to trace and cut out the letters. I traced the “L” with a pencil on the floral Paper 23, blue watercolor B-side Paper 10, and pink hearts Paper 06; the “O” on the pink/orange watercolor B-side Paper 22, aqua lined B-side Paper 06, and pastel floral/butterflies Paper 08; the “V” on pastel sentiments Paper 04, yellow floral B-side Paper 14, and multicolor diamond Paper 10; and the “E” on the pastel stripes B-side Paper 16, mint leaves B-side Paper 04, and pastel umbrellas Paper 16.
After I cut out all the letters I distressed the edges to give them texture and help them stand off from the background. I adhered the letters in place using foam squares for dimension and to create shadows so the layout doesn't look flat. I used the inner "O" piece as a template to cut out two photos and adhered them in the upper and lower "O". To embellish I added a few Cardstock Stickers hearts and sentiments as shown and wrote journaling on a piece of lined paper placed in the middle "O". I cut a floral Cardstock Sticker in half and used it to frame the journaling. All done! I hope you are inspired to pick up my Bloom Street collection and document your memories!
