Hey there! I have a new layout today featuring my Designer Dies!
Here is a process video so you can see exactly how to make these flowers and build the layout from start-to-finish:
I started by opening up my Designer Dies which has a geometric heart, two flowers, and a leaf:
I wanted to focus on the flowers and leaf for my layout so I die cut about 20 of each shape from smooth, thick Bazzill white cardstock. I grabbed my favorite Pastel Dreams watercolors and painted each flower and leaf in the pretty pastels then set them outside in the hot sun to dry quickly.
Once the flowers and leaves dried I splashed watered down white acrylic paint all across them and then splashed watered down Liquid Gold on top. The sparkle & shine and bits of round, dimensional dots the splashes add is so cool :)
With the flowers and leaves complete, it's time to build a layout! I die cut my Wildflowers cut file from my 20 Days of Summer Cut Files (which doesn't get emailed out until the 20th so you get a sneak peek of it here!) and added it with liquid glue to the bottom section of a light purple textured cardstock background.
I placed all of the flowers and leaves on top of the cut file, almost completely covering it, but you can still catch glimpses of it between. It creates a fun "mystery" layer of texture and interest. Once I liked the placement of the flowers and leaves I adhered them in place with liquid glue.
I tucked two photos into the top left side and embellished minimally with a "feeling good" sticker as my title which is from the exclusive scrapbook.com Stickers as well as a few pastel butterfly stickers and a little yellow flower sticker between the photos. To finish I wrote journaling with a dark blue pen on the right edge.
I hope you are inspired to scraplift this layout with my Designer Dies, 20 Days of Summer Cut Files, and bits of Bloom Street!
