Good morning friends! Shimelle here today to share a new layout filled with stars, perfect for meeting a star on Hollywood Boulevard! I used Paige's Stars Background cut file and Bloom Street collection.
I started by cutting the Stars Background cut file from the green B-side of Paper 12. Each star was just the right size to use one square from Paper 07, so I traced, cut, and backed each star with its own pattern. It was such a joy to flip over and see the colorful results! That whole piece then went straight onto the pastel rainbow striped Paper 20.
I matted each photo individually with both sides of Paper 15, matching the colors of the paper to the costume of Evie Starlight - a citizen of Disney's Hollywood Studios - then also cut Paper 02 to hold both photos together. The Oh My Heart Thickers were a great color match to this page even though everything else so far was from the Bloom Street collection. I love when collections can mix and match with ease! Next came three areas of embellishment surrounding the photo: one near the title, one larger area to the left including a journaling space from the ephemera pack, and a smaller grouping below the photo. Making a triangle of embellishment groupings is my favourite way to dress up a page. Each spot includes a phrase sticker from the Cardstock Stickers, part of a washi strip from Turn the Page, a puffy star sticker from Truly Grateful, and some white glitter Enamel Dot.
I love how this Stars Background cut file file allows for lots of patterns and fun but also looks beautiful without any backing at all, so you can decide if you fancy a quick project or something more colorful at a slower pace. Give this background a try and let us see how it all comes together for you! What topic would you scrapbook with stars?

ReplyDeleteHi Shimelle! Your layout is cute, fun and colourful and those photos are charming! I don't know that Disney character but I really love her outfit! I'm such a fan of the 40's fashion 😀 What would I scrap with stars you ask? Hmmm, maybe about the hubby, as in 'it was written in the stars', a visit to the planetarium or a photo of the Christmas Tree 💕
