Summer Hobonichi Page by Paula Fiihr

Hello friends! Paula Fiihr here today to tell you about this fun summery layout in my hobonichi using Paige's older Horizon collection which is pretty much sold out now but you can find the digital collection HERE.
Summer for my family is all about the beach so I wanted to incorporate a few memories from our last beach trip. I used Paige's Summer cut file cut from a paper in the Horizon 12x12 Paper Pad. The letters are all backed with scraps from this line as well. The tag and Floral Foam Thickers from Bloom Street finish off the title.

I layered a few flowers with foam dots to add a bit of dimension. Using one of Paige’s charms, I made a cute clip to complete the page.
On the other page, I made a 5x5" pocket with paper from the 12x12 Paper Pad then I scored three sides 1/4" with a bone folder and attached it to my page. This gives the pocket some room to add more things.

Inside, I painted a couple ‘polaroids’ of scenes from the beach. It’s easy to add magazine or postcard pics in this way too if you don’t have an actual Polaroid camera.

A journaling card from Paper 01 is also tucked in with a few highlights of our weekend getaway. On the outside of the pocket I added a heart strip from Paper 01. A crepe paper rosette made with fringe scissors looked perfect in the corner. It’s topped with layers of punched circles, stickers, and enamel dots.

All in all, it’s a bright & fun way to document a great getaway! Thank you for stopping by!
