Hello crafters and scrappers! Amber Mitchell here on Paige's blog today to share this cute mini album I created using Bloom Street and the 1 Piece of Paper Mini Album cut file.
One of the great things about mini album cut files is that they take out a lot of the guesswork that comes along with creating a mini. This makes the entire process quick, easy, and fun!
To create mine, I first started by resizing the 1 Piece of Paper Mini Album cut file using my Cricut software so that each page or "square" of the cut file measured roughly 2.75" square. Once the file was cut, I assembled it as intended and moved onto embellishing.
When it comes to mini albums, I personally love using chipboard to make them sturdier. To do that with this cut file, I took two pieces of medium weight chipboard that measured 3" square and wrapped them. I did this using the beautiful diamond paper from the 12x12 Paper Pad. I then simply adhered those to the front and back covers of my album after adding stitched detailing with my sewing machine. Next, I decorated the cover of the album using lots of florals and butterflies!
To decorate the spine of the album, I threaded a mixture of Tassels, Flower Charms, and hand-painted beads onto some purple elastic. I then simply wrapped this elastic around the album and knotted it together. The charms add such fun, colorful character to the album!
For the inside pages, I first matted each page using papers from the 12x12 Paper Pad. I then used the Print and Cut feature on my Cricut to cut out a mix of die cuts from the Bloom Street Digital Collection and layered those throughout the album.
A fun feature of this cut file is that when assembled, it will create pockets in your album. I added a cute, floral tag to each of these pockets for journaling. Another fun option would be to use these pockets as storage for any extra photos.
And that's how I created this quick & cute album! I can't wait to fill it with happy memories! Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today and I'll see you next time with another fun project!
