Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today sharing my first scrapbook layout using Paige’s new collection Go the Scenic Route. My first project using this collection was a trio of cards and it was so fun to create a 12x12 layout this go around! Here’s my layout:
I was completely inspired by Paige’s Triangles Background cut file! First, I cut it on a piece of textured white cardstock on my Silhouette Cameo. I wanted it to be the base for my layout with everything else built right on top of it. After it was finished cutting, I got to work on backing the majority of the cut file using papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad. I purposely left a few of the triangle spaces open and not backed so that I could embellish and add little bits in them.
I then popped the entire cut file up on some foam tape and adhered it to a piece of blue cardstock from my stash. Next, I got to work on fussy cutting some florals to be tucked into the spaces that I had left open. I chose a few floral papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad since they were on a smaller scale and were the perfect size. Look how cute they are all tucked in and layered together! The colors in this collection are so vibrant and gorgeous! I mean, give me all of the heart eye emojis please! Next, I layered an Ephemera Die Cut under my photo along with some paper scraps. To secure them together and to also give it a fun touch, I added one of the Flag Paperclips and a Cardstock Sticker underneath.
For my title, I used one of the Puffy Phrase Thickers. I love that the orange just pops on top of that blue foiled patterned paper! I also made sure to add foam tape under some of the flowers around my page to give them a little lift. Lastly, I added a few bits of tangled thread in three of the clusters to give the whole layout a new layer of texture.
That wraps up my layout! Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope that I’ve inspired you in some way today! There was a lot of fussy cutting for this layout and if you’re a fan of fussy cutting, there are tons of elements in the Go the Scenic Route collection to cut out! It really helps stretch your stash and allows you to create so many more projects with the collection! Have a great week and I’ll see you in my next post!
