Travel Cut File Cards by Brianna Lepper

Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today and I'm super excited to share my very first project using Paige's newest collection with American Crafts, Go the Scenic Route! This collection is absolutely gorgeous with rich beautiful colors and patterns! I want to fussy cut every flower and butterfly in this entire collection! My assignment for this week was to create cards and here's what I created:
This collection has some travel elements to it so I thought for my first card I would create a going away type of card. I have brothers in the Navy and knew right away that Paige's Anchor cut file would be perfect for this card. I'm going to save this to send to them the next time they ship out. To start, I cut the Anchor on a piece of white cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo. I backed the anchor part using a blue patterned paper from the 12x12 Paper Pad and backed the rope on the anchor using a paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad. I fussy cut tiny florals from the cut apart sheet in the same 12x12 Paper Pad and fussy cut a few butterflies from the 6x8 Paper Pad. For my greeting, I used the Puffy Word Stickers. So simple, but so fun!

For my second card, I was completely inspired by Paige's Leopard Print Stencil since it matches so well with Paper 19. I took the Leopard Print Stencil and scraped modeling paste through it and once that was dry, I blended on an array of Distress Oxides directly onto the paste. Then I added white acrylic paint splatters and got to work on the rest of my card. I cut the Miss You So Much cut file out of white cardstock and backed it using Paper 19. I popped the entire cut file on foam adhesive and embellished using a few Cardstock Stickers. I love how bright and colorful this card is!

For my last card, I of course wanted to create a shaker card. If you know me, you know I love to create any kind of shaker element! I chose this Flower cut file and cut it from Paper 8 because I wanted my shaker to be super colorful. As soon as it was done cutting, I got to work on my shaker. I traced and cut acetate for the window and did the same thing on a piece of vellum so that I could use it to back my shaker. Next, I added thin foam strips around the perimeter of the cut file and added in sequins from the mixed embellishments pack from both Bloom Street and Truly Grateful. I even added a few sequins from my stash to give it some extra sparkle. Next, I got to work on the base of my card. I used Paper 13 to give my card a beautiful pop of pink and ran it through my sewing machine to add another element of interest. I chose an adorable bird from the Chipboard Stickers and a phrase from the Cardstock Stickers to complete my card. I love the sound it makes when it shakes, so fun!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I love how these cards came out and if you haven't had a chance to pick up the Go the Scenic Route collection, you can grab it here. I can't wait to see what you all create! See you next time!

  1. Total eye candy my friend! My favourite is the MISS YOU card! The background is so beautiful and the leopard paper pops right off. Love how the flowers follow the rope around the anchor. Your shaker is gorgeous cut out of pattern paper 🥰😍 Sublime post Brianna!!
