Happy Fall Ya'll Layout by Paige Evans

Sunday, October 18, 2020

Hi friends! I'm here today to share with you a layout that appeared in the Fall 2020 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine which you can download and peruse for free! It features my Geometric Leaf cut file and Go the Scenic Route collection. Come to think of it, this was actually the very first layout I made with Go the Scenic Route when it arrived on my doorstep back in June!
I started by die cutting my Geometric Leaf cut file from white cardstock. Then I had the Silhouette Cameo cut out all of the inner pieces from different Go the Scenic Route patterned papers. The more patterned papers I can fit on a layout, the better! I just love all the colors and patterns together!
I lightly adhered the leaf onto a pink cardstock background so that the edges could lift and bend still and then adhered all of the inner pieces in place. The colors of Fox's shirt in the photo are bright and fun and pair perfectly with the colors of the papers - I added the photo onto the leaf and then slid on a Flag Paperclip. On the photo I placed a "wild & free" and geotag Chipboard Sticker.
For the title I used the colorful Foam Thickers placed across the top to say "HAPPY FALL YA'LL!". Then I journaled on a pink journaling spot found in the Ephemera Die Cuts with a blue pen, added an orange "capture" Puffy Word Sticker to the top, and placed it on the right side of the layout. A few more embellishments like sentiment Cardstock Stickers and a sprinkling of Enamel Dots around the background finish up this page!
I hope you are inspired to use my Geometric Leaf cut file and Go the Scenic Route collection to create a similar page and enjoy reading the Fall 2020 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine!

  2. I adore all the colours and patterns together too! Eclectic always appeals to me. Be it home decor, fashion or scrapping. It's fun to imagine each bit was collected along the way, more happenstance rather than planned. Maybe even Gypsy'ish, if I may make up a words 🥰 Fox did a fab jump too! xK
