My Favorite Layout by Elsie Robinson

Hey everyone, it’s Elsie Robinson here with a folksy scrapbook layout using Paige's Go the Scenic Route and Folk Art Flower Frame cut file. This was quite a simple layout for me, but I was inspired to use the gorgeous frame over a large photo.
First off I cut the Folk Art Flower Frame cut file from white cardstock, making sure it was big enough to frame my photo. I chose to use white cardstock because I wanted to use the B-side of Paper 10 as my background, which is one of my favorite patterns from the collection. This meant that the cut file would create a nice contrast between the photo and background.
To cut my photo to the correct size, I took the inside piece of the cut file that was left on my cutting mat and used that to trace around my photo so it would fit within the cut file. I adhered my photo on the top half of the background then used some foam dots to pop the cut file up and placed it over the photo. The cut file is super delicate, so I had to be careful, and I love the result! On the bottom half of the layout, I used one of the tags from the Ephemera Die Cuts as a template to cut out a tag from white cardstock. I used one of the Puffy Phrase Thickers as my title and added my journaling below. I used one of the geotag Chipboard Stickers near the journaling.
To embellish, I used lots of Floral Die Cuts and butterflies from the Chipboard Stickers and Cardstock Stickers to cluster around the cut file frame and tag. The result is so colorful and whimsical and even though this is a pretty simple design, I think it shows how a cut file can elevate your layouts and make them look so special and beautiful!
Thanks for stopping by, make sure you check out Paige’s cut files for loads more crafty goodness!
