Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today sharing a new layout using Paige’s gorgeous Go the Scenic Route collection and Camping cut file. I honestly can’t get enough of this collection, the colors are just so bright and fun and perfect for any project. While browsing through Paige's cut files, I saw her Camping cut file and knew right away that I had the perfect photo for it! When my oldest son Noah was a toddler, I would put the coolest hats on him. There was a safari type hat that I happened to put on him when we went camping and I of course had to document it! Here’s my layout, I hope you like it!
First, I cut the Camping cut file out on a piece of white cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo. When it was finished cutting, I started going through the patterned papers to figure out which ones I would use to back it. For the mountains and grass of the cut file, I used Paper 5. The green portion of the map was perfect for the grass and the white with blue florals looked great as my mountains. I used Paper 15 for the trees and used both the 6x8 Paper Pad and 12x12 Paper Pad for the rest of the cut file.
This cut file was so fun to back! Since it’s a scene cut file, I chose each paper carefully and love how it turned out! I especially like the trees and the cute floral tent. Next, I matted my photos using the yellow and white polka dot paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad and got to work choosing the paper for the foundation of my page. I ended up going with Paper 4. It reminded me of a night sky and I liked the fact that everything popped off of the page. I then adhered the backed cut file to the page and added in my photos. To make it even more of a night sky, I punched a few tiny stars out of the blue foiled paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad and adhered them down.
I couldn’t resist adding florals to my page so I pulled a few of the Floral Die Cuts and layered them under my photo. I also added a few of the cute tickets from the Ephemera Die Cuts, adding a few more pops of color into that cluster. For my title, I used the Foam Thickers and then added to it using a mixture of the puffy word stickers to complete it. For a few finishing touches, I sprinkled a few of the Enamel Dots to my clusters, added in tangled thread, and splattered white acrylic paint around the page.
I love how this page turned out! Since I went with a darker background, I decided to keep the embellishments pretty minimal. Other than my photos, I really wanted the Camping cut file to be a focal point on my layout. Thank you so much for being here and I’ll see you in my next post!
