Christmas Tree Decor by Stefanie Ried

Tuesday, December 22, 2020

Hi friends, Stefanie Ried here sharing a new Christmas project made with Go the Scenic Route! I hope you are all well. We in Germany are in lockdown again. And that means being busy with my daughter because the whole day at home, boredom comes up quickly. So we made Christmas trees together. My daughter wanted colorful trees of course, and Paige's collections are best suited!

First, I sketched half of a tree on white paper. This serves as a template.

This template is placed on the patterned paper and traced. Then place the template mirrored on the other side and trace the second half of the tree. The tree is finished. I cut out a total of 5 trees per tree.

Then fold the trees in half and glue one half to the other half of the next tree. Do this all around. Before gluing on the last tree, glue a wooden stick in the middle. My husband drilled the sticks into the wooden discs for me.

To finish, we decorated the trees with sequins, enamel drops, and alpha stickers. That was a lot of fun. The trees are now in my daughter's room. With a lightstrand they are a highlight.

I wish you a merry Christmas!
