Hey scrappy friends! I have a new layout to share with you that I made for the 12 Days of Holiday Giving event over on the Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine Blog! My giveaway for you is this Star Christmas Tree cut file (which you can download for free over at SCT!) and I paired it with my Bloom Street collection.
Bloom Street is not a holiday collection, but I simply love using non-traditional colors in my Christmas crafting! To begin, I die cut my Star Christmas Tree cut file from white cardstock then I utilized the off-set feature to create all of the inner star pieces which I cut from the pastels of Paper 07 & Paper 24. Then it was simply a matter of gluing the stars in place! Such a time saver to have the machine cut out the backing pieces for me.
Next I chose a background paper - I love the watercolor Paper 10 with the green on the bottom and blue at the top which reminds me of grass & sky. Perfect for a tree! I adhered the cut file on the right with foam squares for a little dimension and tucked a recent photo of Fox & Jane under the left side.
The title "Favorite Sweet Holiday Treat" is made from a mix of the Puffy Vinyl Stickers, Puffy Word Stickers, and mini alphabet found in the 4-Page Sticker Book which I layered on and above the photo.
Next I created three clusters of embellishments from the Floral Die Cuts and Ephemera Die Cuts to help draw the eye all around the page.
To finish I wrote journaling and stamped the date!
I hope you are inspired to grab this Star Christmas Tree cut file over on the Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine blog (or the Star Christmas Tree with Backing Pieces cut file here) and create a similar layout with my Bloom Street collection! Take care!
