Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here and let the countdown to Christmas begin! I’ve been having so much fun documenting Christmas this month, so I decided to make another festive layout using Paige’s Let Your Heart Be Light cut file and her Go the Scenic Route collection. The colors in this collection are just too gorgeous not to use with this cut file. Take a look!
To start, I cut the Let Your Heart Be Light cut file on white cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo. After it finished cutting, I went back into my Silhouette Software and created backing pieces for the title by duplicating and offsetting each letter. I did the same thing with all of the light bulbs. Although this took a bit of extra time, it made backing the entire cut file so much easier in the end. There are a few different ways to back a cut file, you can choose whichever way works best for you!
I ended up choosing Paper 11 to back the title in the cut file with. I’ve been wanting to use this paper ever since I got the collection but I wanted to find a way to highlight the entire thing. It’s so beautiful and I wanted to display as much of it as I could! For the light bulbs, I went in rainbow order and chose different patterned papers from the 12x12 Paper Pad and Paper 7 to get a bit of orange. After I had the entire cut file completely backed, I popped it up on foam adhesive. I then went through all of the patterned papers in the collection to find the base for my layout. I ended up going with Paper 16. I love how the cut file pops right on top of that pretty pink!
After everything was adhered down, I went through and added tangled thread under each light bulb using coordinating colors. Then, I fussy cut some florals from papers in the 6x8 Paper Pad and added them to a few areas on the page. I created a subtitle using one of the papers from the phrases 2x2 Paper Pad. To finish it off, I splattered white acrylic paint all over the layout.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope that you liked this layout and I also hope that I’ve inspired you in some way today! The vibrant colors on this page just make me so happy! Wishing you all a safe and wonderful holiday season!
