The Winter 2020 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine is out now and you can download and browse it for FREE here!
This issue is extra special because it's Catherine's 60th issue(!!) aaaand the layout on the cover was made by yours truly using my Go the Scenic Route collection! Plus you can download the cut file I designed and used on the cover layout for free on the SCT Magazine website. So many great things!
To create this layout, I started by die cutting my Snowflake Frame from white cardstock at just under 8.5x11". I backed almost all of the pieces of the snowflakes with a rainbow of colors from the patchwork B-side of Paper 21.I cut a piece of white cardstock to 8x10.5" then machine stitched it to a full 8.5x11" piece of the dark blue B-side of Paper 4. Then I adhered the backed cut file on top with foam squares for dimension. I printed the 5x7" cover photo and added it to the layout.
The title "WARM & COZY" is made with the colorful Foam Thickers and the ampersand is from the Puffy Phrase Stickers which I placed on an oval journaling spot from the Ephemera Die Cuts and it's matted on white cardstock for contrast. I printed the journaling, trimmed it into strips, and glued it below the title. To finish, I added a trio of heart Cardstock Stickers in a triangle to help draw the eye all around the layout.
I loved sitting down with a cuppa hot chocolate and browsing through this beautiful issue! So much inspiration inside! Have you found my two layouts within? I'll share them here next month!
