Hi friends, Maija Männistö here to share my latest layout made with Go the Scenic Route! With no traveling in sight I wanted to devote a layout for some of our past trips through the years. And the Wanderlust cut file is just perfect for this layout! I backed the letters with several different 12x12 patterned papers from Go the Scenic Route.
For the background, I wanted to add just a hint of color. I did this with “faux watercolor” technique, using my markers and water. I tried to match the colors to the letters for some tone-on-tone fun! I backed each photo with Paper 21 and matched it to the colors on the background.
For embellishing I fussy cut icons from Paper 6 as well as a stamp from Paper 3. They really make this a fun travel-themed layout! I also added pieces from the Chipboard Stickers as well as some flowers from the Floral Die Cuts, roughly matching the colors of the letter and the background. I also added few pieces from the Cardstock Stickers - I love the tiny flowers! Lastly I cut apart one of the phrase swatches from the 2x2 Paper Pads. It had three different sentiments that perfectly matched the photos.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Have a lovely and crafty day!
