XOXO Layout by Brianna Lepper

Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here with my last layout for this amazing design team! It has truly been an absolute dream being a part of this team for almost 2 years. A huge thank you to Paige for giving me such an amazing opportunity to work with her cut files and her gorgeous collections! Now, let’s get to my layout! We recently got a new puppy and with February being the month of love, I thought it would be perfect to document all of the puppy love going on in our house.

I chose Paige’s XOXO Background cut file and cut it on a piece of white cardstock. Once it was finished cutting, I backed it with Paper 8 from Go the Scenic Route. Since that paper is pretty busy with many different patterns, it was perfect for all of the X’s and O’s in the cut file. Look how bright and gorgeous it came out!

I wanted to create a bit of mixed media on my page so after I backed the cut file, I tore the entire thing in half to create a rough edge look. Next, I adhered it to another piece of white cardstock and applied gesso to it. Then I took a few shimmer sprays from my stash and sprayed and blended the colors together. I didn’t want my background to compete with the cut file, so I kept the mixed media portion pretty minimal - I just wanted a little something behind my photos and embellishments.

While my background was drying, I matted my photos using a few patterned papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad and started embellishing with a few Chipboard StickersFloral Die Cuts, and Ephemera Die Cuts. Next, I pulled a few butterflies from the Cardstock Stickers and bent up their wings to give them some dimension. I adhered them down in a diagonal pattern to make sure your eyes would travel around the whole page.

For my title, I used both the Foam Thickers and Puffy Phrase Stickers. The Foam Thickers are amazing and are so easy to stick down. We named our new puppy Theodore and his nickname is Cubby. So I thought “Cubby Love” was a cute title! He looks like a little bear or even fox cub! Next, I added in tangled thread and sprinkled in a few of the Enamel Dots into my clusters. They’re so sparkly and perfect! I tied a piece of ribbon onto the chipboard tag that I adhered down earlier and that was it! Super simple and super cute!

Thank you so much for always being here and for all of your support and crafty cheers over the years. I hope that I’ve inspired you with all of my projects, it has been so much fun creating with Paige's cut files and beautiful collections! Big virtual hugs to you all and especially to Paige!
