Hello scrappy friends! I hope you're having a week filled with sunshine! Shimelle here today sharing the first project I've made with Paige's new Wonders collection, featuring her Easter Basket cut file. They are a perfect match for any egg hunting photos you may have taken recently.
I started by cutting the Easter Basket cut file from white cardstock and backed it with a variety of papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad. I love this size of paper pad for backing cut files since it has a variety of colours all in one place and the patterns are a lovely small scale that makes them work well in the small spaces of a cut file design. There's also gold foil on some of the papers so that gives the basket a special touch! Then I covered the back of the basket in foam squares and added it to the light green background Paper 14. I matted the two square photographs on the blue B-side of Paper 15 and tucked that block just under the right edge of the basket. If the subject of your photos is looking the opposite way, you might want to switch the design to the other side of the basket so your subject is looking into the middle of the page, not off the edge. The basket shape makes this really easy to switch. My journaling sits above the photo block with a die cut from the Ephemera Die Cuts and stickers from both the 8-Page Sticker Book and the 6x12 Cardstock Stickers.
My title runs right over the bottom of the basket, with a blue die- cut from the Ephemera Die Cuts, a purple square from the 2x2 Paper Pads, and the multicoloured Thickers. There are also two shiny gold hearts from the Cardstock Stickers. Then there's just a small group of stickers on the right side of the photo block. With the title, journaling, and that little cluster of stickers, I kept to a mix of blue, purple, pink, yellow, and gold - it's a beautiful Easter palette!
Thanks for taking a look at my project today and if you have any Easter chocolate left at your house today, I hope it helps fuel your scrapping!
