Here's a new layout I made for American Crafts using Wonders!
I started with a 2" heart punch and made a bunch of patterned paper hearts from most of the Wonders papers. I ended up using 35 hearts. I folded over both edges of each heart and then lined them up across a cream textured cardstock base in 5 rows.
I originally had more hearts but I removed a few to add a 4x3" photo on the lower right side. I splashed watered down white acrylic paint all across the background. Then I used a sewing machine and white thread to stitch horizontally across every row of hearts - this attaches all of the hearts in place permanently and also adds fun texture. I lifted up the paper hearts to create dimension.
Next I adhered the photo into the empty space. I fussy cut a "beautiful" day sentiment from a 2x2 Paper Pad and trimmed another "beautiful day" sentiment from a frame in the Ephemera Die Cuts. I added both sentiments to the right side of the picture and then journaled with a blue pen underneath.
I used a tiny heart punch to make a tiny heart from all the solid colored papers found in the Project Pad and sprinkled them all across the background. I placed a few heart stickers tone-on-tone with foam squares on top of some of the paper hearts to finish.
I hope this layout inspires you to bust out your heart punches and create a fun and colorful layout using Wonders!
