Hello crafty friends, Amber Mitchell here on Paige's blog today to share with you a fun mini album I created using the Wonders collection and a handful of Paige's cut files!
To create the base of this album, I used Paper 12. This paper includes twelve tags that are double-sided, which made it perfect for the base of an album! I cut these tags into pairs of two and then folded them in half down the middle. I added machine stitching along the edges of all of them for texture and then stacked them in the order I wanted them to be. I used yellow embroidery thread and a large needle to saddle stitch my pages together to create a book. To embellish this album, I used several of Paige's cut files as well as all of the fun bits and pieces that come in the Wonders collection. Throughout the album as a whole, I layered up Chipboard Stickers, Cardstock Stickers, Floral Die Cuts, Ephemera Die Cuts, and stickers from the 8-Page Sticker Book.
To make the cover of my mini album eye-catching, I added a shaker that I created using a Chipboard Sticker wreath and some sequins from my stash. On that, I layered up a 3D rainbow that I created using the Rainbow Simple cut file. To make this cut file look 3D, I popped up the backing pieces of it on foam tape. I then layered some flowers and a sentiment piece from the Banner Stickers on top of it. To finish the cover off, I created the title "My World" using the Epoxy Phrase Stickers.
On the first page of my album, I used the Envelope cut file to create a small pocket. In this pocket, I added some photo mats and a card for journaling.
The Dangling Hearts cut file added such a fun, cute touch to the third page of my mini and really acted as a statement piece. I backed it using Paper 5.
For an interactive element to this mini, I used the Envelope Card cut file, added a photo mat inside of it, and sealed it off with a heart-shaped Chipboard Sticker.
The standout feature of this mini album comes from using the Folded Square Mini Album cut file. I cut one sheet from this file using Paper 7 and adhered it in between the middle pages of my book. This is such a fun element as it pops and folds out. To this page, I added a photo mat, a place for a date using a sticker, and a cute sentiment from the 2x2 Paper Pads.
To finish off the last pages of my mini, I used a few of the Layered Flower and Leaf cut files and the Wonderful cut file, which I backed with a striking yellow pattern from Paper 1. I love how much both of these cut files pop! The sentiment is a great way to end my album and I love how fresh and realistic the flowers look against the green patterned paper.
And of course, to finish off this album, I added some paper tassels and charms. Now this album is ready for all types of fun memories! Thanks so much for stopping by my post today - I'll see you next time with another fun project!
