Cocktail Cards by Jennifer Rambert

Wednesday, July 14, 2021

Hi paper lovers! Jennifer Rambert back today with three refreshing cards featuring Paige's Go the Scenic Route collection and her Cocktails cut files from the 20 Summer Cut Files Bundle! I wanted to give a little wink to the summer season and the holidays so what could be better than cocktail cards for that?

I first used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the designs and used Paper 21 to trace, cut out, and fill the cocktails. I also used tracing paper to fill in the outline of the cocktail glasses to create the illusion of the glass.

Then I used watercolor paper to make the backgrounds of the cards. I applied Distress Oxides using two colors on each background, which matched the colors of the cocktail glasses. Then I glued these backgrounds on the cards cut from Paper 5 and Paper 24 which brings out the watercolor backgrounds. Then I sewed a black frame with my sewing machine on each card and glued each glass with 3D foam in the center.

I finished by adding the words Enjoy, Relax, and Let's Chill with a black puffy alphabet from my stash then I splashed the whole thing with black ink and finally I added drops of Glossy Accents for a drop of water effect!

Hope this will inspire you for a future project! I had fun making them! Thanks for stopping by and have a day full of creativity!
