Hi there! Valerie Bisson here, happy to be sharing a super fun summer scrapbook page with you today. My layout features the Summer Sun in Wreath cut file and the Wonders collection.
I started my layout with a piece of Bazzill sparkle cardstock for the background to which I added my favorite Kuretake watercolors in several matching colors and also some gold Heidi Swapp color shine splattered around the page in a circle. Then I cut out the Summer Sun in Wreath cut file in white cardstock and backed it with various papers from the 12x12 Paper Pad, 6x8 Paper Pad, 2x2 Paper Pads, and some of the individual 12x12 papers. This gave a nice mix of patterns, size of pattern, and even some gold metallic shine.
After this I cut two more layers of the Summer Sun in Wreath cut file, first a solid fill of the wreath in black cardstock so I could layer it and create a shadow of the whole wreath creating the illusion of dimension. Then a third layer with Paper 15 cutting the wreath with the center all filled making it possible to have a different paper in the center of the wreath. Then I adhered all the wreath layers together and added it to the background. For the SUMMER letters I popped them up on top with dimensional foam adhesive.
Once the cut file was complete I embellished around the wreath using the 8-Page Sticker Book, Cardstock Stickers, Ephemera Die Cuts, Chipboard Stickers, Banner Stickers, and Puffy Stickers. For my photo I printed it out in 2 sizes and layered them on top of each other for a fun look. I also added a piece of black cardstock underneath of the photo. For a bit of embellishment near the photo I added a row of Puffy Stickers below it and a Floral Die Cut to one side. I always like to include a bit of journaling on my pages so I typed it out on my WRMK Typecast Typewriter in blue on white cardstock, then cut into strips that fit nicely below my photo. I finished up the page by adding a few enamel dots around the wreath and also some clear Nuvo crystal drops.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I had so much fun creating this layout and hope that I’ve inspired you to scrapbook your summer memories!
