June 2021 Highlights

Thursday, July 1, 2021

Here's what we were up to in June 2021!

It's been raining so much that even now that we're well into summer the open fields are still green!

Pool time!
Crumbl Cookies for the win.
Honey B's Macarons for the win!
I took Jane to Kneaders for lunch while Fox was at camp. Posing on the bike we made. Almost every morning she and I go on a bike ride together. Trying out a sandwich shop.
Fox has been doing coding camp all day, every day pretty much since school got out. He says he loves it and insists on signing up for every week so I drop him off in the morning and pick him up before dinner. He's learning all kinds of really cool things about coding.
Fox and I have been watching the new season of Lego Masters and Rachel joined in the fun.
She's still chugging along, my adorable furry sidekick.
Ummmmm Rachel? Hello? You can't wear these. Picking outfits for the kids to wear over the 4th of July weekend.
Rachel snacking all day long.
They wanted to help me water the flowers.
Joey blew his coat for the second time in two months. It's been extremely hot and extremely cold so his body was confused. The groomers always make a comment along the lines of "We got a whole new dog out of him!" Or "We got out sooo much hair!".
Hi.
I've gained 8 pounds in 2 months. I've just totally fallen off the exercising and eating healthy wagon. I really do feel so much better when I do these things, so I need to get back on, stat.
I read Messy Victories by my husband's sister's husband's sister, Kolette Hall, about her life and challenges. It was very moving and inspiring. Still trying to get into the Poldark series. I have not been reading outside as much as I have in past summers, for shame.
Cruella was pretty good. 12 Mighty Orphans was amazing, I will be buying it. The Ice Road on Netflix was interesting. We saw Nobody back in March and as soon as it was available I bought it and have been watching it on repeat, it's soooooo good.
Flowers from Costco brighten up the kitchen.
I planted flowers in the rocks. I love the pop of color and happiness they bring me.
Flower from our backyard and flowers from the neighbor's yard.
I ordered and received a floral painting by Nicolette Valikoski and I loooove it. The texture is phenomenal.
Crazy cool clouds.
Home sweet home.
I took off the swinging door from the pantry into the dining room but when the floors were installed they somehow chipped off the top part of a screw holding the door in place. I have no idea how to get this out.
I'll never tire of this view.
We broke heat records two days in a row.
Our neighbor hosted a bike building and BBQ event at her house and it was sooooo fun to see everyone and eat good food and hear stories about meeting John Travolta in an elevator :)

ONTO SCRAPPY UPDATES:
BUNGALOW LANE was released!
It starts shipping any day now and I can't wait to see how you use it!
I've put Go the Scenic Route away into boxes in the Kallax, moved Wonders to the back of my desk, and now Bungalow Lane is in the most reachable spot.
I made and shared a few layouts and projects on my blog in June:

The Summer 2021 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine released and is available for free download! I have 2 layouts inside along with a handful of free cut files!
I gave away these four cut files in my Happy Scrappy Place Facebook Group and Newsletter:
I'm in the very beginning stages of publishing a scrapbooking book with Better Day Books! Send me all your ideas for what you'd like to see be included in a book from me :)
4th of July layouts in progress! I'll share the two finished layouts here on July 4th :)
My friend Andrea came over so we could work out the details of our first in-person class being held on Saturday November 13th in Thornton, CO at the hotel she works at!
All of the details will be released soon (waiting to receive my order of Bungalow Lane and Jen Hadfield's new line that Andrea will be using for her mini album class) then all of the information will be released HERE to check that page often!
Working on my PHD - projects half done ;)
Throughout June I was very busy planning, creating, curating, working on, and teaching virtual classes! First, my 4x4 Mini Album Virtual Class. You can still sign up for the virtual class HERE.
Saturday June 26th was the day of the live class! I didn't think I'd have enough content to fill up the 3 hour class but I went over by 20 minutes and still forgot to show how I embellished the spine! It was an awesome class :)
Virtual classes have been going well so I've decided to continue with them! I launched PaigePals: a monthly mini album kit & virtual class! First, I found 4 months worth of product and placed a big order.
A week later the 800 pound palette arrived.
I spent a full day opening all the boxes, counting the supplies, and sending the issues to my rep to get it fixed. We always work it out :)
Then, I had to wait until Friday June 25th for the release of all the details! Waiting is so hard :)
PaigePals has launched! I am soooo excited to continue offering virtual classes and kits!
The last few days of June I spent working on a mini album collaboration with Amber Mitchell.
I'll share all of the pictures and information about this heart-shaped mini here on July 11th. A video flip through will be available on my YouTube channel on July 8th.
And that my friends was our fun-filled month of June in a nutshell! Bring on July!

  1. No grass growing under your feet 😄 Just a steady stream of fun activities and craftiness ! I awwwed over every photo of Rachel, I'm so glad she's content and 'chugging' along. We'd really never know if you gained 8 lbs, you're a complete knock-out ! I've gained and lost the same 20 lbs several times in the last 20 years, LOL ! I'm really looking forward to your classes and next collection too! Thanks again for all you do 💛🌸
