Howdy ho from Idaho! It’s Heidi K. Lewis here on the blog today to share a "Moosing Around" layout made with the Wonders collection. I knew the minute that I saw the Moose cut file that it would be perfect for making a layout about Yellowstone National Park, or YNP. This layout was partly inspired by Paige’s recent Stacked Suitcases layout, particularly by the use of brown cardstock for the cut file. I was also inspired by Nicola Gaitan Felton’s artwork on Instagram. I love the way she makes animals in unrealistic colors, which is outside of my comfort zone!
This layout came together quickly and easily. First, I cut out the Moose cut file from plain brown cardstock from my stash. Then I backed the cut file with colorful papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad. Pro tip: the 6x8 papers have a smaller pattern than the 12x12 papers, which allows you to see more of the pattern behind the cut file!
Once my cut file was backed, I centered it on Paper 6. The cut file is symmetrical, which led to a symmetrical arrangement of my photos. I secured my photos with Washi Tape, which is one of my favorite uses for Washi Tape! The title, made from the coordinating Thickers, fit perfectly between the moose antlers. A single heart Puffy Sticker, Chipboard Sticker bird, and leaves from the Floral Die Cuts finished off the embellishments.
I hope this layout inspires you to "moose around" with colors outside of your comfort zone! Catch you later!
