Wild and Free Spread by Krystal Idunate

Hello friends! Krystal Idunate here today sharing a new spread I created using Paige’s Wild and Free cut file and her Wonders collection. I wanted to document a story of my son playing with his uncle and their special connection. This Wild and Free sentiment was the perfect title for this silly photo of them. To get started with this spread, I resized the Wild and Free cut file to roughly around 3” wide. I cut the file using textured white cardstock and then used Paper 17 to back the file. After printing my photo at the full page size (4.25”x8.25”), I adhered the title to the bottom right corner. I love how that orange and white pops off of the green grass so nicely.

Next, I moved onto the left side of my spread which would serve as a home for my longer-style journaling. I decided to print a full page of text that I could then mat with some papers to play off the colors from the cut file. I typed up my journaling and printed it on a piece of white cardstock measuring 3.25”x7.25”. I then added two patterned paper mats behind my text box. For the first layer, I used Paper 17 cut down to 3.75”x7.75” to create an orange mat and tie in the orange from the cut file title. Next came the final patterned paper layer where I used Paper 9 cut down to 4.25”x8.25”. Finally, I added a few stickers gold foil hearts and a "remember" sentiment from the Cardstock Stickers around my title piece to finish this spread off. Using scor tape, I attached both sides of my layout into my travelers notebook and then called this one done.

I really love the way the colors complement this page and always welcome the opportunity to add more text to a page. When you combine that with how easy this page was to make, I’d call this one a winner! If you would like to see a process video for how this spread came together, you can check that out HERE. I hope this spread inspires you to use Paige's cut files to tell your stories. Thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day!
