Rainbow Mini Album by Stefanie Ried

Wednesday, September 8, 2021

Hello and welcome to a new mini album by me, Stefanie Ried! Before I start with the new Bungalow Lane collection, I have created a small mini album with the Wonders collection. This is a gift for my daughter. She has long wanted an album for all her photos with her friends. And so an album to open was created. For this I used the beautiful Paper 22 with the colorful floral tiles and a nice color gradient was created.

First I created the book cover with 2 cardboard pieces cut to 3.5x7.5" and 1 cardboard piece cut to 1.25x7.5". Glue a paper of your choice cut to 9.5x8.5" on these to make a book cover. Before gluing the paper for the inside, attach the ribbon to the cover for a closure.

When the book cover was ready, I cut up the Paper 22. In total, I added 12 flower images to the album (each side has 6 pieces). In addition, I cut and folded 12 pieces of Bazzill textured white cardstock sized to 3x3.75". Score a line at 0.75". The colored paper was glued on the white paper as shown in the photos.

Then the pages were glued into the album. I started at the top edge. The scored line is glued into the album so that the pages can be opened upwards. I hope you can see this well in the photos. The next page is glued directly underneath.

When all pages were glued in, I decorated the pages. Now my daughter can fill the album with all her photos on the back pages. She is already busy with it :)

Here are a few more pictures of the finished album:

I hope you enjoyed my little tutorial. If you have any questions, please let  me know. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Love this so much Steff ! The cut-apart sheet makes the perfect waterfall inside your mini covers. I LOVE the simplicity of the cover too. 💛K
