The 12th of the 25 Days of Christmas Cut Files went out to those who purchased them! Here I have cut and backed the 12 Days of Christmas Cards at 3x4" from papers in my Truly Grateful collection and I plan to insert them into 3x4" pocket page protectors to go into my December Daily.
Check out these two beyond cute projects created with today's 12 Days of Christmas Cards Cut File! First, a cute, cute, and more cute mini album by Design Team member Amber Mitchell! She says, "Hey crafty friends! Amber Mitchell here on Paige's blog today to share with you this fun Christmas mini album that I created using Paige's "12 Days of Christmas" cut file.
To create the base of this mini album, I used three pieces of chipboard. The front and back cover pieces measure 2.75 x 3.5 inches, while the spine piece measures 1.5 x 3.5 inches. I wrapped these pieces using Paper 8 from the Bungalow Lane collection. This paper reminded me of wrapping paper, so I thought it worked perfectly for this album.
For the binding, I created a hidden hinge that can hold 12 pages. I added that to the inside of my album using a strong adhesive. Before gluing this binding into place I punched a hole and added a star eyelet using my We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile to add charms and tassels to later. To line the base of my album, I used a pink patterned paper from the 12x12 Paper Pad.
I resized the 12 Days of Christmas Cards Cut File until each card measured 2.25 x 3 inches. I then cut them from various patterned papers from the 12x12 Paper Pad and backed them using swatches from the 2x2 Paper Pads. On the back of each card, I adhered a photo mat I created from white cardstock.
To create a closure, I took a small strip of paper that measured 1 x 4.25 inches and scored on the 4.75-inch side at 1.75 and 3.25 inches. I adhered the 1.75-inch segment to the back of the back cover and wrapped the rest of the strap around to the front cover. I secured it into place using a small craft magnet.
With the base of the album now done, I moved on to embellishing. For this part, I used bits and pieces from my Christmas crafting stash, as well as embellishments from Bungalow Lane. This mini is so tiny and compact but full of so much cheer!"
Here is an eye candy of a layout by Design Team member Heidi K. Lewis. She says, "I arranged all the numbers and icons into a grid on Bungalow Lane Paper 20 and added a few embellishments and 2x2 photos. This layout came together really fast, which is great if you are looking for something easy to make during the busy holiday season!"
