Christmas Trees December Daily Spread with Bungalow Lane by Stefanie Ried

Wednesday, December 22, 2021

Hello and welcome to a new project by me, Stefanie Ried! In my December Daily from last year I filled another double page spread with the beautiful Bungalow Lane collection. For this I have a little tutorial for you. The idea was made by my daughter at school. I loved these cute trees so much that I really wanted to incorporate them into my December Daily.

In addition to one big tree in the photos, I've included lots of little trees. When we go pick our tree we go to a neighboring village where an acquaintance always sells the trees from his forest. It's a nice tradition in the Christmas season for us.

I cut out the Bungalow Lane patterned papers for the mini trees to 1.5 x 2 inches. I cut the same amount of white cardstock as patterned papers.

Then I marked the spot where the tree will be cut with a pencil and ruler.

Now cut in diagonally with the scissors. It is important to make longer and longer cuts towards the bottom. Just like a tree.

As soon as all white papers with the trees are cut in, turn the paper over so that you can no longer see the sketched lines. Then fold the cut corners down. To do this, start at the bottom of the tree and work upward.

Once all the paper trees are folded over, glue them to the patterned papers. And the little colored mini trees are ready!

I hope you are inspired by this Christmas trees technique!

I wish you a merry Christmas and see you next year!
