Boy Cut File 12 of 30: Caps

Tuesday, April 12, 2022

The 12th of the 30 Days of Boy Cut Files went out to those who purchased them and here are two layouts created with today's Caps Cut File!

For my page today I backed each Cap with papers found in my Truly Grateful collection! On a kraft cardstock background I added gesso to the four quadrants then painted/splashed coordinating colors of Pastel Dreams and Tropicals watercolors on top. I trimmed down the background to 10.5" square, machine stitched around the edges, then placed it on the colorful Paper 24 to enhance all the colors.

Design Team Member Valerie Bisson created this fantastic layout! She says, "For my page I used pieces from Bungalow LaneWonders, and Go the Scenic Route. First I had my Cricut cut out the Caps from white cardstock and then a second time in an offset layer from black cardstock to give them a defined edge. Next I backed the Caps with patterned papers and hand stitched them in black giving them a unified look. Then I added my photos popped up in the center of each of the caps. Before adhering them to my background I added the Sunburst Rays stencil in 4 different Distress Oxides, black watercolor paint splatters, patterned paper circles, chipboard stickers, stamping, enamel dots, and hand stitching in each of the corners. Lastly I added a title to one cap and a word phrase sticker near the bottom of the page."
