The 17th of the 30 Days of Boy Cut Files went out to those who purchased them and here are two layouts created with today's Hoodie Cut File!
For this layout today I tried a new technique: instead of backing the cut file with one piece of patterned paper, I used a 1" square punch to make dozens of squares from papers in the Let's Wander collection by Vicki Boutin. I did cut out backing pieces for the Hoodie Cut File from scratch white cardstock and then I glued the squares all over the backing pieces for a custom patterned paper that matches Fox's hoodie that he wears all the time perfectly! Once the backing pieces were covered with the paper squares, I trimmed off all the excess, and adhered them to the back of the Hoodie Cut File. So fun! On a foundation paper also by Vicki Boutin, I used blue and aqua pastes through a star stencil on opposite corners. I added the cut file and a couple photos of Fox in his hoodie on top and then embellished with pieces from Let's Wander! This was so fun to make!
Design Team Member Phil Donahue created this too-cute-for-words layout! He says, "For this page I wanted to use the Hoodie Cut File in an unexpected way and feature photos of my very fashionable, colorful niece! Hoodies are basic and my niece is anything but basic :) I resized the file to about five inches in height and copied it five times. I backed each with a rainbow of patterned paper in pinks, oranges, yellows, blues, and purples. Then I embellished each hoodie with tone-on-tone elements from Paige's various collections such as Bungalow Lane and Wonders and used chipboard pieces as confetti around the row of hoodies. Now this page is so extra!"
