The 26th of the 30 Days of Boy Cut Files went out to those who purchased them and here are two layouts created with today's Not Today Cut File!
For my page today, I cut the Not Today Cut File from white cardstock and then cut the inner pieces from orange, yellow, green, and blue papers in my new Splendid collection! I added the cut file onto the green B-side of Paper 19 then placed the backing pieces on top (instead of on the back), attaching them in place with foam squares for dimension. A photo of Fox and Joey the dog sleeping in fills the "O" and I embellished with all kinds of embellishments from Splendid including Epoxy Stickers, Cardstock Stickers, Chipboard Stickers, bits from the 8-Page Sticker Book, Ephemera Die Cuts, and a couple Heart Paper Clips stapled in place. In empty spaces I added white enamel dots for interest and fun!Design Team Member Audrey Mutschall created this so so so cute layout! She says, "As soon as I saw this Not Today Cut File I knew I wanted to use photos from my son’s first birthday cake smash since he was not impressed with the experience! He was so upset about the mess he created that most of the photos show him crying. Since my layout is birthday-themed and I wanted it to look festive, I created rosettes. I chose turquoise, yellow, and blue patterned papers from a variety of collections including Bungalow Lane, Turn the Page, Pick-Me-Up, Oh My Heart, and Fancy Free. I backed the cut file with these patterned papers and also made rosettes with them. I cut strips of paper in various widths, ranging from 0.5 inches to 3 inches, scored the length of each strip every 0.25 inches, accordion folded them, and glued the ends together. I arranged the rosettes diagonally across the page and added the cut file on top of the largest rosette which measures 6 inches in diameter. After adding my round photos I embellished the layout with stars and sentiments from Turn the Page and Chipboard Stickers from Bungalow Lane. I hope this inspires you to create a project with this cut file - it’s an awesome design for scrapbooking all those photos of 'perfectly imperfect' moments in our lives!"
