Hello crafty friends! Amber Mitchell here on Paige's blog today to share with you the project I created for my challenge for International Scrapbook Day in Paige's Happy Scrappy Place Facebook Group!
The challenge I chose was CIRCLES. When it comes to crafting and creating mini albums, I love working with shapes! So, putting this mini album together and incorporating as many circles as possible was a lot fun! I used the Bloom Street collection for my project.
To create this mini album, I used five circles in the following sizes: 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4 and 4.5 inches. I layered these from smallest to largest and used my Crop-A-Dile to punch a small hole through all of them. Next, I threaded a purple binder ring through the holes and moved on to embellishing.
Since this mini album is all about circles, I opted to create circle-shaped photo mats to add to my pages. I used a 2-inch circle punch to punch five circles from white cardstock. I machine stitched along the edges of these mats to add more texture and then adhered them down throughout the album. For a bit of added fun, I added white pom pom trim around the edges of the third circle in my album.
To embellish my pages, I used a mix of products from both the physical and digital collections of Bloom Street (Bloom Street Digital Collection). I print and cut a bunch of flowers from the digital collection using my Cricut Explore Air 2. I layered these around the photo mats along with butterflies and sentiments to create an overgrown garden look.
And lastly, to really drive home that this album is all about circles, I created some circle-shaped charms using a 1-inch circle punch and epoxy stickers. I punched a small hole into the top of these charms and added them to a fun dangle that I attached to the binder ring.
