My assignment was to use a cut file and create a summery page with my Splendid collection. Challenge accepted!
I designed this Summer Grid Cut File which you can grab for free on the SCT website HERE and I cut it from textured white cardstock. The B-side of Splendid Paper 6 has blocks of colorful paper which were perfect for backing the blocks of the cut file. I backed the letters first, then the blocks, then added photos in the 3 empty squares.
Next I attached the backed cut file onto the bright yellow B-side of Paper 5. I tucked clusters of Floral and Leaf Die Cuts under the four corners and added colorful mini foam Thickers to make the year on the bottom right section. To embellish I grabbed tiny hearts, flowers, and sentiments from the Cardstock Stickers and the 8-Page Sticker Book to add little bits of fun here and there. I wrote journaling with a white pen inside the "R" to wrap it all up!
