Hi crafty friends! Phil Donahue back on Paige's blog today! You've heard about Christmas in July but how about Easter in September? I'm so happy to be back on Paige's blog with a new layout featuring her Easter Bunny Cut File and beautiful papers from the Splendid collection! This project documents my niece and her not-so-happy experience meeting the Easter Bunny for the first time.
I used the vibrant pink Paper 8 to cut out the Easter Bunny Cut File then backed the face and outer ears with white cardstock and Paper 2 to back the inner ears. I used the small floral pattern from Paper 12 as the main background with torn strips of pastel yellow, pinks, and blue from the collection in the center of the page to anchor all the elements. Many elements of the layout were bright and cheery so to balance that (and reflect my niece's reaction to the Easter Bunny) I embellished with fussy cut flowers from the black and white floral Paper 13 (my favorite in the collection) around the photo. I wanted to repeat the black and white floral around the page so I tore edges of the background in three corners then backed with the black and white floral to peek through. I added bright yellow enamel dots around various embellishment clusters. Lastly, I used the colorful mini foam Thickers for my punny, bunny title!
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you found some inspiration from this post!
