Let it Grow Layout by Heidi Lewis

Hi friends! Heidi Lewis here on the blog and I'm really excited to share my first Garden Shoppe layout paired with Paige's cut files today!
Whenever I need scrappy inspiration, I always turn to Pinterest. Today's layout was inspired by this fun & quirky beard illustration:
To recreate this illustration, I started with the Caps Cut File, which is part of the 30 Boy Cut Files Bundle. I backed the cut file with Paper 3Paper 4Paper 15Paper 19Paper 20Paper 22 and I used Paper 14 for the background. I wanted to utilize a minimal color palette like the original inspiration. Next, I made my own beard by arranging black cardstock leaves made with Paige's Leaves Cut File into a beard shape. I love the texture the leaves give to the beard! I printed a 3x4 photo of my husband holding our kitty Zeus. I layered embellishments from the Ephemera Die CutsFloral Die CutsCardstock Stickers, and 8-Page Sticker Book around my photo. I love using ephemera or stickers to cover up unsightly parts of my photo. The I-love-you sticker is hiding a ceiling fan lol. The main title was created with the Thickers and an Ephemera Die Cut. You know I can’t resist a good beard pun! I finished off the layout with a tear at the bottom of the page to balance the busy photo and embellishment cluster at the top.
Thanks for stopping by the blog! I hope you feel inspired by this layout!
