Crafty Friends & She Loves Color Layouts by Paige Evans

Yesterday I flew to Wisconsin to teach at the She Loves Color event! Every attendee is getting a SLC Heart pre-cut cut file and at the meet-and-greet night I'll have a freebie "Crafty Friends" pre-cut cut file so today I am sharing two layouts made with both cut files!

I tried to use leftover supplies from the kit we'll be using to create our mini album, but I may have overlapped a thing or two. Anyway, I used patterned papers from my Splendid collection to back the Crafty Friends cut file which is cut from white cardstock. I cut out the outer scalloped frame from Paper 15 and attached it to a white cardstock base using foam squares for dimension. I printed a 9x5" photo at home then adhered it to the bottom of the page with the backed cut file attached at a slight angle above.

To embellish I added fussy cut flowers from Paper 1 tucked under the title, a typewriter die cut, a couple floral corners and a flower bunch fussy cut from Paper 15, and a title along the bottom made with the rainbow mini foam Thickers & a "Splendid" tag fussy cut from Paper 21. To finish I wrote journaling with a blue pen on the right edge.

For this second layout I backed the SLC Heart with patterned papers from Splendid and then used the heart as a template to trace and cut out a photo and (5) hearts from patterned papers. I hand stitched around (4) of the hearts.

I embellished the hearts with lots of fussy cut elements and completed the "SHE LOVES COLOR" title on the SLC Heart with rainbow mini foam Thickers. I placed the hearts in a grid on a plain white cardstock background using foam squares for dimension.

For journaling I wrote with a blue pen on an orange label sticker from the 8-Page Sticker Book, added it atop a fussy cut floral from Paper 1 along with a "So much" Epoxy Sticker and a cluster of transparency flowers also from the 8-Page Sticker Book that I turned into die cuts by placing them on white cardstock and fussy cutting them out.
