Autumn Cut File 15 of 20: Fall Into Autumn

The 15th of the 20 Days of Autumn Cut Files is Fall Into Autumn and was just emailed out and the file uploaded to the secret folder!

Design Team Member Audrey Mutschall created this super adorable layout! She says, "I always enjoy large title layouts because they are the perfect opportunity to use lots of pretty patterned papers together. This page features Paige's Garden Shoppe collection and I had so much fun choosing a different patterned paper for each of the letters. I started by cutting the Fall Into Autumn from white cardstock. I backed each of the letters with a paper from the 12x12 Paper Pad and the 6x8 Paper Pad, gluing the papers directly to the back of the cut file. Once the letters were backed, I chose a few different green papers and an orange paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad to back the leaves. I used foam tape to adhere these leaves behind the cut file, giving some extra depth and dimension to the design. With the cut file backed, I started to work on the background. I used Paige’s Scalloped Borders Cut File to add a pretty scalloped edge to the bottom of a piece of the white cardstock. I used a leaf stencil and inks in shades of yellow, orange, pink, green, and blue to add a subtle leaf pattern to the background. I matted my photo onto Paper 9 and placed it in the top right corner of the layout. I added a strip of woodgrain paper at the top and bottom of the layout to coordinate with the wood paneling in the background in my photo. I also added a strip of Paper 14 to the very bottom of the page, as the colors of the leaves complement the inks used on the background. I embellished with a tag from the Ephemera Die Cuts, some Cardstock Stickers, and a few cross stitches with embroidery floss.
