Autumn Cut File 3 of 20: Truck with Pumpkins

Thursday, November 3, 2022

The 3rd of the 20 Days of Autumn Cut Files is a Pumpkin Truck and was just emailed out and the file uploaded to the secret folder!

For my layout I cut the Pumpkin Truck from white cardstock and then backed it mostly with sections of colors from Paper 9 of Garden Shoppe. On the mini hearts B-side of Paper 4 I pooled water and then dropped in Pastel Dreams and Tropicals watercolors. Once the paint dried, I ran it through a Minc machine to flatten it. I added the truck with foam squares onto the background to pop it up and then placed a 4x3" photo of cute Fox over the truck. I made the title with Thickers curved around the truck and embellished with Foam Phrase StickersCardstock Stickers and transparency buttons from the 8-Page Sticker Book. To finish I wrote journaling with a blue pen at the bottom of the truck.
Here are 2 layouts and a mini album insert made with today's Pumpkin Truck from the 20 Days of Autumn Cut Files:

Design Team Member Audrey Mutschall created this super adorable layout! She says, "I absolutely love creating little scenes with my scrapbook layouts and this Pumpkin Truck was the perfect addition to my first scenic layout using the beautiful Garden Shoppe collection. I started by re-sizing the cut file to about 6.5 inches square - this allowed me lots of room on the page to add hills, paths, and a sky. I stenciled a cloud pattern onto a white cardstock background using blue ink and then cut hills from green Paper 18 and a path from one of the orange patterned papers in the 6x8 Paper Pad. I added back-stitching along the borders of the hills and paths with embroidery floss to add texture and definition to the landscape. Next, I backed the cut file with a variety of patterned papers from the 12x12 Paper Pad and the 6x8 Paper Pad. With that complete, I got to work embellishing. I added Cardstock Stickers and Ephemera Die Cuts to the background and made a folded kite from one of the squares on Paper 24. My photo is matted with Paper 6 and vellum and I arranged a few fussy cut flowers from Paper 8  around them, along with a sticker from the 8-Page Sticker Book. I hope this inspires you to create a project with Paige’s Pumpkin Truck- it’s absolutely adorable and perfect for those fall photos!"

Design Team Member Valerie Bisson created this too cute layout! She says, "Starting with white cardstock I made the Pumpkin Truck large enough to fill my page and have a space for my photo right in the window of the truck. I backed everything using papers from the 12x12 Paper Pad and the 6x8 Paper Pad from Garden ShoppePaper 4 and a torn strip of Paper 6 make up the background for the truck to sit. Once the Pumpkin Truck was ready to go the page came together fairly quickly with a scattering of embellishments around the page. This includes Foam Phrase StickersThickersFloral Die CutsEphemera Die CutsEnamel Button Stickers, and pieces from the 8-Page Sticker Book. A splash of gold paint finishes my page!"

Design Team Member Heidi Lewis says, "I used the Pumpkin Truck as an insert in my September Daily, which is a 4x4 fall-themed album. The cut file is sized to 5 inches and cut from 80lb plain cardstock (Park Lane brand). I kept it plain and simple so you can see the photos peeking through the cut file on either side!"
