Autumn Cut File 4 of 20: Fall Frame

Friday, November 4, 2022

The 4th of the 20 Days of Autumn Cut Files is a Fall Frame and was just emailed out and the file uploaded to the secret folder!

Here is a layout and a mini album page made with today's Fall Frame from the 20 Days of Autumn Cut Files:
Design Team Member Audrey Mutschall created this absolutely adorable layout! She says, "Paige’s new Garden Shoppe collection is now available and it was absolutely perfect for this project. I cut the Fall Frame from white cardstock and then backed it with a variety of patterned papers from the 12x12 Paper Pad. I glued the backing for each element directly to the cut file and then used foam adhesive to back each square or rectangular section with another (background) patterned paper. This added some depth to each section so that the cut file wasn’t completely flat when I was finished backing it. For the words “Love” and “Autumn” I made a slight offset and adhered the letters on top of the cut file using foam tape. To finish the layout, I embellished with Cardstock Stickers, a Foam Phrase Sticker, fussy cut birds from Paper 15, and Enamel Button Stickers. I love that there’s a large area in the middle of the frame for a photo - I used a close-up photo of my daughter that was printed 5x7 inches in size. The opening is about 4.5 inches square, so it really shows off a large photo beautifully!"

Design Team Member Heidi Lewis created this beautiful opening page to her fall mini album! She says, "I used the Fall Frame as the title page of my fall-themed September Daily, which documents all things fall. Don’t be intimidated by the intricacy of this cut file - I sized the cut file to 4.5 inches and cut it out of plain blue cardstock (80 lb weight, Park Lane brand) and backed it with a single sheet of rainbow paper from Bungalow Lane. Using a fresh blade, a fresh mat, and the 'cardstock for intricate cuts' setting on the Cricut are my secrets to success with making cut files in miniature!"
