The 7th of the 20 Days of Autumn Cut Files is a Leaf Heart and was just emailed out and the file uploaded to the secret folder!
For my layout, I cut the Leaf Heart twice out of white cardstock and then I used Pastel Dreams and Tropicals watercolors by Prima to watercolor over one of the hearts. I stacked the two hearts together, the plain one flipped over to the reverse side, and then stitched them onto a white cardstock background. I tucked a 3x4" photo of me and my mom into the left side and then embellished with Garden Shoppe using the perforated pennants as a journaling spot from the Ephemera Die Cuts, a title from the Foam Phrase Stickers, and a few Floral and Leaf Die Cuts tucked up under the inside of the cut file. I splashed white acrylic paint over the page and then finished with a smattering of enamel dots from my stash around the heart edge.
Guest Designer Allison Davis created this stunning page! She says, "I cut the Leaf Heart out of a woodgrain paper and backed it with some colorful papers. I used some go-to fall colors like red, yellow, and brown but I also decided to mix in some non-traditional colors like green, pink, and blue. After I had the Leaf Heart backed, I added a hand stitched border around the whole thing. I absolutely love stitching and the texture, dimension, and definition it adds and I thought this would be a good way to help the cut file design stand out with the layout design I had in mind. I used the cut out leftover piece of wood grain paper layered on top of white cardstock as my base and then adhered the Leaf Heart with foam adhesive, lining up the edges of it with the edges of the cut out. To finish I added lots of smaller hearts and word stickers around the whole design."
