Last weekend I got to teach in-person alongside my scrappy pals Andrea Lake, Jessica Upton from Color Cast Designs, and Erica Thompson! Two fun-filled days with laughing, learning, and so much scrapping! I'll be teaching next in Texas in May and we hope to teach here in Colorado again soon! I made a layout using the exclusive cut file for all the attendees:
Pictures on this layout are from our previous event so I'll switch them out to the pics from this event soon!
I backed the Garden Shoppe Weekend cut file (cut from white cardstock) with scraps from the following papers:
Then I trimmed off the barcode strip from Paper 3 and used the periwinkle blue striped B-side for the background. I attached the finished backed cut file to the top at a slight angle using foam squares for dimension. Next I pinched and bent Floral Die Cuts and flowers from the Ephemera Die Cuts to give them life and texture then tucked them above and below the title. I added (2) 4 x3” photos at slightly different levels under the title at the bottom of the page. I cut a copper bubble border sticker from the 8-Page Sticker Book in half and tucked the pieces under the bottom edge of the photos to create a scalloped border.
Next I stamped flowers and leaves from the Acrylic Stamps with black StazOn ink onto smooth white cardstock, fussy cut them out, then pinched and bent them to create texture. I added a pair of leaves behind the two flowers on the cut file and clustered the rest on the left side of the left photo and the right side of the right photo. To finish I embellished the cut file with a flower Cardstock Sticker on the ‘open space’ letters, topped two of them with mini sentiment stickers from the 8-Page Sticker Book, and placed a button Cardstock Sticker on the center of the two flowers.
I hope you're inspired to check out my Garden Shoppe collection and attend one of my in-person events!! :)
