Happy New Year friends, it’s Kelly Daye with my first Cut File Design Team Layout of 2023. I made a running rainbow border that says, ‘This Year’ and added Paige’s Be You, Do You, For You from the 20 Stitching Cut Files bundle. A great mantra for the year, don’t you think?
After sizing the stitching file for my design, I added the rainbow border using Paige’s Alphabet Background. You can watch my YouTube Cameo Tutorial to learn how. Once both were sized for a 12x12 background, I cut it out of white cardstock. I backed the rainbow border with paper from all of Paige’s collections. Some were printed from AC Digital Collections! I love having unlimited Paige collections at my fingertips. I used all 6 strands of DMC thread, color b5200 to stitch the background, then filled all the letters with rolled flowers. I’ve used four of my favourites from Paige’s Rolled Flowers Bundle. Here’s the papers I used to make the flowers:
Finally, I embellished with Garden Shoppe Butterfly Stickers and Enamel Button Stickers. The photo on the left is little me sporting #23 and ‘Looking Good’ from the Splendid collection!
