I Will Always Heart You Layout by Phil Donahue

Hello scrappy friends! Phil Donahue back again with a new layout featuring Paige's Heart Garden from the 12 Love Cut Files along with elements from Garden Shoppe! I wanted to feature an older photo of my niece but could not decide between the color photo or black & white, so I decided to use both!
I began by cutting Heart Garden from white cardstock and backed each heart with a rainbow of patterned papers from the 12x12 Paper Pad and 6x8 Paper Pad. I wanted to make a heart in each series of colors contain a shaker element. To do that, I cut a piece of acetate to fit directly behind each cut file heart. After, I used pieces of adhesive foam strips to place around the white cardstock backing. It was a fairly tedious process but the foam didn't have to connect - as long as the shaker pieces are bigger than the gaps between the foam strips it will contain them! Lastly, I poured sequins from my stash in each and backed with another patterned paper in a tonal color. Even though it was a bit of a process, the texture, color, shine, and movement adds to a page are so worth the effort! The B-side of Paper 3 served as the main portion of my background along with torn edges of Paper 2 and Paper 19 at the top and bottom of the page to anchor the cut file and photos. I adhered some of the torn layers with dimensional foam to create even more dimension. My title was made from the Thickers and alpha stickers from the 8-Page Sticker Book. A flurry of colorful Enamel Button Stickers all over the background completed the page. I kept embellishments very minimal because I wanted the cut file and photo to make the biggest impact on the layout!
I hope you found some inspiration in this post and want to try out the Heart Garden from the 12 Love Cut Files along with Garden Shoppe! Thank you for stopping by and have a lovely & happy scrappy day!
