Stitching Cut File 18 of 36: Marigold

The 18th of the 36 Cut Files for Stitching is a Marigold!
Design Team Member Jennifer Rambert created this absolutely stunning page! She says, "To highlight this cut file I used a string art stitch with different blue threads to make a gradient. I love this fun dimensional effect with both the gradient and the stitch. I then added very simple decorations so as not to cover the background too much. I used a Chipboard Frame Sticker to highlight the photo and added Floral Die Cuts as well as Chipboard Rounds, Puffy Phrase Stickers, and Cardstock Stickers all around. I hope this layout inspires you and I wish you a wonderful & creative day!"

Here is another layout made with today's Marigold from the 36 Cut Files for Stitching by Guest Designer Cindi Green! She says, "First I stitched the entire flower using six strands of white DMC floss. I used the Regular Flower Cut File to cut out inner pieces from two pieces of white cardstock as well as Garden Shoppe Paper 22 and I cut them slightly smaller than the stitching holes to leave a border around them. I then glued the three pieces together and placed them in the centers of the petals. I used more than one cutting mat and left the pieces on the mats in order to not get the pieces mixed up when gluing them together. After all the pieces were in place I added Enamel Button Stickers tone-on-tone as well as Floral Die Cuts, Butterfly Stickers, and a Foam Phrase Sticker title. I love how it turned out and hope you enjoy it too!"
