Hi scrappy friends! Here is celebratory scrapbook layout made for Scrapbook & Cards Today featuring my new Blooming Wild collection and free Balloons Cut File!
I cut the Balloons from white cardstock using an electronic cutting machine. Then I used the inner pieces from the balloons to trace and cut out slightly larger balloons from clear transparency. I added super sticky 1/8" double sided tape around the back of each balloon and then placed the transparency balloons over the adhesive.
Next, I spent some time placing 1/8" wide strips of foam adhesive around the back side of each transparency balloon then poured sequins from my stash into the balloons. I cut patterned paper balloons the same size as the transparency balloons from the watercolor Paper 18 that has 5 different sections of color (pink, yellow, green, blue, and purple) and then placed those paper balloons over the foam adhesive to create cute little shakers.
I attached the balloons onto the center of pink Paper 2 with hearts sprinkled across it and then placed a 3x4" photo on either side. Time to embellish! I attached heart Chipboard Stickers around the balloon bouquet and tied a bakers twine bow around the bottom to make it more realistic.
Above the right photo I created a title with Puffy Phrase Stickers, a word Chipboard Stickers, Thickers, and silver holographic mini alphabet stickers from the Sticker Book. I balanced this cluster on the top right with a cluster on the bottom left including a phrase and border of hearts from the Ephemera Die Cuts topped with a bird Chipboard Sticker. I wrote journaling on a label from the Journaling Spots tucked under the balloon strings. To finish I punched scalloped borders from white cardstock and placed them around the edges of the page - they remind me of icing, perfect for a birthday-themed page!
I hope you are inspired to create a birthday-themed layout completed with shaker balloons! Be sure to download the Balloons cut file and pair it with my new Blooming Wild collection! Thanks for stopping by today!
