Hello friends! Ashley Neu here to share my next project for the Paige Evans Cut File Design Team. I’m so excited to share this layout using the Blooming Wild collection along with the Brick Wreath Cut File. This cut file was absolutely perfect to document several photos I had of my girls putting together their masterpieces! Also, I love creating wreath layouts so it was a win-win!
After backing the Brick Wreath Cut File using both the 12x12 Paper Pad as well the 6x8 Paper Pad in rainbow patterned papers, I created a watercolor background. To do this, I did the smooshing technique. To accomplish this, I lightly marked where each colored block was with a pencil and then took a piece of plastic, added the coordinating colors or watercolors, and “smooshed” it onto the paper. I also made some paint splatters to make it even more interesting! I had 5 photos that I wanted to add to the layout so I printed them at 2” square. I tucked 3 in the lower left of the wreath and 2 in the upper right. To create my title, I used a combination of the Thickers, mini silver-foiled alphabet stickers and a clear sticker that says “Colorful”, both from the Sticker Book. And if you have seen any of my past layouts, you probably can guess that tone-on-tone embellishing is exactly what I did next! You just can’t go wrong with this technique. I grabbed embellishments from the Sticker Book again as well as the Chipboard Stickers and Cardstock Stickers then tucked them in with the appropriate colors.
That’s all for this layout! Thank you for coming to Paige’s blog! I hope I’ve inspired you to check out the Brick Wreath Cut File and the Blooming Wild collection! Have a wonderful day!
