Hello friends! Kelly Daye here with my next Cut File Design Team layout using Paige’s Wonderful With Stitching Holes Cut File and her Blooming Wild collection!
To start, I cut the Wonderful With Stitching out of white cardstock and trimmed it down to 11” square. Then I chain stitched around each letter with an assortment of pastel hues. To back the cut file, I used a border bunch and 2.5 sheets of pretty Paper 17. To spread all four watery colors throughout my background, I cut Paper 17 into ¾” strips then punched them. This way I could flip the strips around before punching and have yellow, pink, blue or green on either side of the background. I taped them onto a 10x10” piece of scrap paper. When full, I centered and taped that onto a sheet of lilac cardstock. Next, I applied foam tape to the back of the cut file and centered it over my background. Time to embellish! Flower clusters via the Floral Die Cuts on the corner letters created balance. The sweet pink birdhouse is from the Chipboard Stickers as are the buttons and the index tab. There’s lots of flowers from the Puffy Phrase Stickers throughout because I love them so much. I added the word "love" from the Puffy Phrase Stickers and a tiny chipboard piece that says ‘sweet’ from the Chipboard Frame Stickers. ‘Kitties Are’ was made with Mini Foam Thickers (available at JoAnn). They were part of Paige’s Whimsical collection. I added a transparent sticker from the Sticker Book to the bottom right - it matched all my colors so perfectly. Of course I added a few sequins from my stash to finish!
Thank you so much for coming by! Maybe you’ll try a border punch in your next layout! I hope you're inspired to use Paige’s Wonderful With Stitching Holes Cut File and her Blooming Wild collection!
